Key features for TRON
Energy rental
On USDT and other TRC-20 transfers, FxWallet can rent the energy a transfer needs, so you pay a rental fee in TRX instead of burning TRX for it.
Bandwidth and energy at a glance
The TRX page shows how much bandwidth and energy your account has left.
Warnings before you send
FxWallet checks the recipient against known scam and sanctioned addresses, tells you when an address is not activated yet, and flags risky TRC-20 tokens.
Feature availability
- Send and receive
- Send and receive TRX from a TRON address, starting with
T. - Tokens
- TRC-20 tokens such as USDT. Add the ones you hold by searching for them or by contract address: Assets Discovery does not cover TRON. TRC-10 tokens are not supported.
- Fee options
- A transfer uses bandwidth and energy, and what your account does not have is paid for by burning TRX. There are no speed options; for TRC-20 transfers you can choose Energy rental instead.
- Hardware and cold wallets
- Sign on a Keystone or a Goldshell by scanning QR codes, or on an offline phone in cold wallet mode. See Hardware & Cold Wallets.
- Private keys and watch wallets
- Import a wallet by its private key. Watch wallets are for EVM addresses only.
- Risk warnings
- The recipient of every transfer is checked against known scam and sanctioned addresses. TRC-20 tokens undergo a GoPlus security check. Look-alike address warnings are not available on TRON.

Important notes
- New addresses cost 1 TRX to activate. Sending to an address that has never been used on TRON costs an extra 1 TRX, and the app tells you before you send.
- Check the whole address. Scammers send very small transfers from addresses that look like ones you have used, so that you copy theirs from your history. FxWallet’s look-alike address warning does not cover TRON: compare every character before you send. See Look-alike addresses.
Questions
In the help center
How do I receive USDT on TRON?
Add USDT to your wallet if it is not shown: search for it, and check that its contract address matches the one on Tether’s website. Then tap Receive and choose TRX to copy your TRON address, starting with T; USDT on TRON arrives at the same address. On an exchange, withdraw on the TRC20 network.
Why does sending USDT on TRON cost TRX?
TRC-20 transfers use energy, and energy is paid for in TRX: burned when your account has too little of it, or spent on renting it with Energy rental, which FxWallet can offer on TRC-20 transfers. The app then shows the original fee crossed out and how much you save. Keep some TRX in the account, or you may not be able to send USDT.
Can I use TRON DApps or WalletConnect with FxWallet?
No. FxWallet does not connect to TRON DApps, either in its DApp browser or with WalletConnect.
