Important notes
- XBT is not bitcoin, but the addresses look the same. Your XBT address is also the bitcoin address of your first account, so the network the sender chooses decides which coin arrives: pick Bitcoin BLAKE2b. Some exchanges use XBT as another name for bitcoin. Send XBT only to an address for the Bitcoin BLAKE2b network, never to a bitcoin deposit address, or it may not arrive. See Use XBT (Bitcoin BLAKE2b) in FxWallet.
- Only in the first account of a mnemonic wallet. A wallet imported with a private key, or a hardware wallet, cannot hold XBT, and a wallet’s other accounts do not have it. Back up the mnemonic phrase before you receive any XBT: it is the only way to get your XBT back if you lose your phone.
- A reward paid straight from a block cannot be sent at once. You get this reward, called a coinbase reward, when you mine solo or when your pool pays you in the block itself. It cannot be sent until enough newer blocks follow that block. Until then, it counts in your XBT balance but not in what you can send. Payouts that a pool sends in an ordinary transaction can be sent once they confirm.
- One transfer at a time. While an XBT transfer is pending, you cannot send another from the same wallet, and you cannot speed it up or cancel it. See Pending or stuck transactions.
Questions
In the help center
Is XBT the same as bitcoin?
No. In FxWallet, XBT is the coin of Bitcoin BLAKE2b, a separate network that forked from bitcoin at block 961,640 on 30 August 2026 and is mined with BLAKE2b. Some exchanges and sites use XBT as another name for bitcoin, so check which one they mean. See Use XBT (Bitcoin BLAKE2b) in FxWallet.
How do I sell XBT or send it to an exchange?
FxWallet cannot swap XBT. To sell it, send it to an exchange that lists XBT on the Bitcoin BLAKE2b network, and check the network first: never send it to a bitcoin deposit address, or it may not arrive. When you use an address for the first time, send a small amount first and wait for it to arrive.
How do I receive mining rewards in FxWallet?
Tap Receive, search for XBT, pick it on the Bitcoin BLAKE2b network and copy the address. Enter it as the payout address in your mining pool or mining software. If a send says Insufficient Balance although your balance looks high enough, part of a reward may not be spendable yet: send a smaller amount, or wait and try again later.
I held bitcoin before the fork. Do I have XBT?
Bitcoin that was at an address when XBT forked is also XBT at that same address. But FxWallet shows XBT at one address only: your first account’s, starting with 1. If your bitcoin was at another address, such as one starting with 3 or bc1, FxWallet cannot show that XBT, even if you import the same mnemonic phrase. Never enter your mnemonic phrase or private key on a website or in a tool that offers to claim or check your XBT: anyone who has them can take both your bitcoin and your XBT.
