Network fees on several networks, paid from one card

Pay network fees on several networks from one prepaid Gas Card in FxWallet. Cards can be given to others, and redeeming one costs no network fee.

Every network takes its fee in its own coin

On Arbitrum the network fee is paid in ETH, on Polygon in POL, on BNB Chain in BNB. A wallet with tokens on several networks needs a little of each network’s coin, and on a network where that coin has run out, nothing can be sent.

A Gas Card is prepaid credit for network fees, held in US dollars. One card pays them on BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism, so the wallet does not have to keep every network’s coin topped up.

One card instead of each network’s coin

Without a card: a little of each coin

What a Gas Card does

One card for 4 EVM networks

A card bought in FxWallet pays fees on BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism. Its balance is in US dollars and is converted for each fee, so no network’s coin has to be bought in advance.

Transfers, swaps and DApps

A card pays the fee to send tokens and NFTs, to swap, to approve or revoke a token, and for DApp and WalletConnect transactions.

Offered on the confirmation screen

When a card can pay the fee, the confirmation screen offers to pay with a card and picks one: the card last used, if it can still pay, or else the one that suits the fee best. If a card’s balance covers only part of the fee, the rest is paid in the network’s coin.

A card can be given

A redeem code shares a card as a link or a QR code, valid for 24 hours and revocable until it is redeemed. A card can also be sent to another address.

Redeeming costs nothing

A shared card is added to the wallet by signing a message: no transaction and no network fee. A card is a way to give someone their first network fees.

No expiration on cards you buy

A card bought in FxWallet does not expire, and Deposit adds to its balance, up to $10 per card.

How it works

Gas Card in three steps

  1. Create or redeem a card

On the wallet’s home screen, tap More → Gas Card. Create buys a card with USDT or USDC on BNB Chain, or USDT on Polygon: the payment is a token transfer, whose network fee is paid in that network’s coin or with a card you already have. Redeem adds a card shared with you.

  2. Pay a network fee with it

On a confirmation screen, tap the network fee: under Payment Method, choose Pay with Gas Card. The app picks a card and shows whether it covers the whole fee; tap the card to choose another. A transaction paid with a card uses Normal speed.

  3. Share a card

Open a card, tap the gift icon at the top, then Generate Redeem Code: the app shows a QR code and a redeem code, with buttons to share or copy the link. Whoever redeems it first receives the whole card. Until then, the card stays in your wallet but cannot pay fees, and revoking the code makes it usable again.

Coverage and limits

  • Networks: BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism. A card from an FxWallet campaign can be limited to some of them; each card lists its networks.
  • Paid for: sending tokens and NFTs, swaps, token approvals and revocations, Crypto Gifts, and DApp and WalletConnect transactions of the wallet in use.
  • Not paid for: the Bridge page, Batch Transfer, Earn, the EIP-7702 upgrade, revoking several approvals in one transaction, and speeding up or cancelling a transaction.
  • Wallets: mnemonic phrase, private key and cold wallet mode. Watch-only and hardware wallets cannot use a card.
  • Buying: with USDT or USDC on BNB Chain, or USDT on Polygon, up to $10 per card, deposits included. A card appears once its payment is confirmed on-chain. Cards cannot be bought with a credit or debit card.
  • A transaction paid with a card uses Normal speed. The amount taken from the card covers the transaction’s maximum network fee.
  • A card’s balance only pays network fees. It cannot be withdrawn or refunded.
  • A card belongs to the wallet that created or redeemed it, and shows in that wallet on any phone where it is restored.
What is a Gas Card?

Prepaid credit in US dollars that pays network fees on BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism. A card is bought in the app with USDT or USDC on BNB Chain, or USDT on Polygon, or redeemed from a code someone shares.

Can I get a Gas Card without any coin for network fees?

Yes, if someone shares one with you: redeeming a code costs nothing. Buying a card yourself is a token transfer, whose fee is paid in the network’s coin or with a card you already have.

What if a card does not cover the whole fee?

A card’s balance pays what it can, and the rest is paid in the network’s coin; tapping the network fee shows how much the card covers. A Gas Pass cannot pay a fee above its limit per use. If the card and the coin together are not enough, the transaction cannot be sent.

Can I get my money back from a Gas Card?

No. A card’s balance only pays network fees, so buy what you expect to spend on them. A card you no longer need can be shared with someone else.

How long is a shared code valid?

24 hours, and never longer than the card itself. Until someone redeems it, the card stays in your wallet but cannot pay fees. Revoking the code makes the card usable again, also after the code has expired; or a new code can be generated to share it again.

Why is the Gas Card not offered for a transaction?

The transaction may be one a card does not pay for, on a network the card does not cover, or from a watch-only or hardware wallet; or the card may have run out, expired or be waiting to be redeemed after you shared it. With Enable gas card turned off in Me → Preferences → Gas Card, a card is offered only when the wallet does not hold enough of the network’s coin for the fee.
