The best route for every swap and bridge

Trading and moving tokens in one app

Trading a token usually means choosing a DEX without knowing whether its price is competitive. Moving it to another network requires finding a bridge and working out its fees, and every network charges its fee in its own coin.

In FxWallet, Swap gathers quotes from several aggregators and DEXs, and Bridge from several bridges. Both show the route, the fees and the amount to be received before signing, and every transaction is signed with your own keys.

How Swap selects a route
  1. Quotes from multiple sources

Aggregators and DEXs each quote the trade.

  2. Network fees deducted

Each quote is compared by the amount received after the network fee.

  3. Best route selected

The route with the highest net amount is selected.

Key features

Best route across sources

Swap requests quotes from several aggregators and DEXs, and Bridge from several bridges. FxWallet marks the route with the highest amount received after all fees and refreshes quotes every 15 seconds.

Simulation before signing

Every Solana swap, and EVM swaps above a set value, are simulated first. If the simulation predicts a failure or a result far below the quote, FxWallet does not allow the transaction to be sent.

Risky tokens blocked

GoPlus checks the token being bought on the networks it covers. FxWallet does not buy tokens flagged as honeypots, warns about other risk flags and blocks trades with a very high price impact.

Exact-amount approvals

When a swap requires a token approval, FxWallet requests the amount being swapped rather than an unlimited allowance, so the contract cannot spend more of that token later.

Trackable bridge transfers

Each bridge quote shows the estimated transfer time. The history tracks the transfer to the destination network and marks routes that require a second transaction there to complete.

Swaps without the gas coin

A Gas Card pays the network fee of swaps on 4 EVM networks, so a token can be traded without holding the network’s coin. Details are below.

In the app

Inside Swap & Bridge

  • Route comparison

Swap lists quotes from several aggregators and DEXs, ranked by the amount received after fees, and marks the best route. Quotes refresh every 15 seconds.

  • Costs before confirmation

Before a swap is confirmed, the details show the minimum amount received, the slippage, the network fee and the FxWallet fee, which is 0% on some routes.

  • Bridge transfer status

Bridge shows the estimated time and fee of each route. Transfers in progress appear at the top, and a transfer that requires a claim on the destination network is marked Action Needed.

Network fees

Sending without the network’s gas token

Every transaction pays a network fee in the network’s own coin. On some EVM networks, FxWallet offers two ways to pay it without holding that coin.

Gas Card

Prepaid credit for network fees, tied to your wallet. It pays fees on BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism when sending tokens or NFTs, swapping or using DApps, but not for Bridge or Earn. A Gas Card is bought with USDT or USDC on BNB Chain, or USDT on Polygon, up to $10 per card, or redeemed from a code shared by another user.

Pay the fee with a token

When tokens are sent on BNB Chain and Polygon without enough of the native coin, FxWallet can take the fee in USDT or USDC on BNB Chain, or USDT on Polygon instead. On first use, this upgrades the address with EIP-7702, which can be undone in the account’s settings.

Neither works with watch-only or hardware wallets, and both use Normal speed.

Coverage and limits

  • Swap runs on 14 networks: Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, and 8 more networks. It trades within one network; Bridge moves tokens between networks.
  • Bridge connects 34 EVM networks, with routes from several bridges.
  • Some routes carry an FxWallet service fee, shown in the quote as “Fee (x%)”; on others it is 0%. The network fee and any DEX or bridge fee are shown as well.
  • Slippage is set automatically unless a custom value is entered.
  • Before a swap, GoPlus checks the token on the networks it covers: FxWallet will not buy tokens flagged as honeypots and warns about other red flags. Trades with a very high price impact are stopped.
  • Native bridges from a layer-2 network back to Ethereum take about a week and end with a claim transaction.
Does FxWallet charge a fee on swaps and bridges?

Some routes include an FxWallet service fee, shown in the quote as “Fee (x%)” before you confirm; on others it is 0%. You also pay the network fee, and a DEX or bridge may charge its own fee. All of them are shown before you sign.

Can I swap a token on one network for a token on another?

Not in Swap, which trades within one network. Bridge moves tokens between networks and shows the amount that can be received on the destination network.

How long does a bridge transfer take?

Each quote shows an estimate, which depends on the route. Native bridges from a layer-2 network back to Ethereum take about a week because of their challenge period and are completed with a claim transaction.

What is a Gas Card?

Prepaid credit that FxWallet uses to pay network fees on BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism. A Gas Card is bought with USDT or USDC on BNB Chain, or USDT on Polygon, up to $10 per card, or redeemed from a code shared by another user. Transactions paid with a Gas Card use Normal speed and may take longer, and the amount taken from the card can be slightly higher than the network fee.
