Transfers without POL

Feature availability

Send and receive: The same 0x address as on Ethereum and the other EVM networks. You can send to an ENS name as well as an address.
Tokens: ERC-20 tokens. Assets Discovery finds tokens you hold that are not on your home screen, and you can add any other by its contract address.
NFTs: See and send ERC-721 and ERC-1155 NFTs. ERC-1155 NFTs are sent one at a time. They are in the NFTs tab of the POL page.
Fee options: Choose Slow, Normal or Fast, or set the max fee and priority fee yourself. A pending transaction can be sped up or cancelled.
Pay fees without POL: Pay the network fee with a Gas Card, or in USDT when you send tokens. See Swap & Bridge.
Batch Transfer: Send to several addresses in one transaction with Batch Transfer, from the Send screen.
Swap: Trade one token for another on Polygon with Swap. A swap takes place within one network.
Bridge: Move tokens between Polygon and 33 other networks with Bridge.
Earn: In Earn, lend tokens to DeFi protocols through Yield Products. The app shows each product’s protocol, rate and risk level; rates change and are not guaranteed.
Hardware and cold wallets: Sign on a Keystone or a Goldshell by scanning QR codes, or on an offline phone in cold wallet mode. See Hardware & Cold Wallets.
DApps and WalletConnect: Open DApps in Discover, or connect to DApps on your computer with WalletConnect.
Private keys and watch wallets: Import a wallet by its private key, or follow any 0x address as a watch wallet.
Risk warnings: Warnings for risky tokens and NFTs, for scam, sanctioned and look-alike addresses, and for risky contracts. Approvals lists and revokes what you have approved, and spam transactions are hidden.

Important notes

POL replaced MATIC. In September 2024, POL became the coin that pays fees on Polygon, and the MATIC held on Polygon became POL automatically, one for one. FxWallet shows it as POL.
The same address on every EVM network. Your Polygon address is also your address on Ethereum, BNB Chain and the other EVM networks. A token sent on another network arrives there, not on Polygon, so check the network before you send or withdraw. See I sent crypto on the wrong network.
Approvals last until you revoke them. Approve only what a DApp needs, and revoke what you no longer use. See Token approvals.

Which network do I choose to withdraw to FxWallet from an exchange?

Polygon, which some exchanges call Polygon PoS. In FxWallet, tap Receive and choose POL to copy your address. It is the same address as on Ethereum, so make sure the exchange sends on Polygon. See Deposit or receive crypto.

Can I send tokens on Polygon without POL?

Yes. Pay the network fee with a Gas Card, or in USDT when you send tokens. Both use Normal speed, and neither works with hardware wallets. See Gas fees and Gas Card.

Is POL the same as MATIC?

On Polygon, yes: in September 2024, MATIC was upgraded to POL as the coin that pays fees, one for one, and balances on Polygon changed automatically. MATIC held as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum is separate and was not converted automatically.

Can I move my wallet from MetaMask or another Polygon wallet?

Yes. Import its mnemonic phrase: FxWallet derives EVM accounts on the same path as MetaMask (m/44'/60'/0'/0/n), so the addresses match. You can also import a single account by its private key, or follow an address as a watch wallet.
